The building has been a bakery at least since the 1800s. Records show that the Oldham family owned it for many years. James Oldham was the organist at the local church. During their ownership, they also ran a mill and would deliver bread and flour by horse and cart. The bakery has a 1900s Alfred Hunt oven engineered in Leicester which is heated by coal at the back. When Clive bought the bakery, he opened up a tearoom upstairs where people can relax and absorb the atmosphere of this historical building.
